Worked closely with senior business executives and technical teams, Delivery Managers, Account Executives, Provided technical expertise, strategic & technology direction to senior executives and program managers to restructure outsourcing master services agreements which reduced cost by 50% over one year. Redesigned the corporate office (over 10 floors with average of 150 users on each floor) from layer 2 connectivity to the core switch to layer 3 connectivity all the way to the core switch. Created different VLANs and relevant SVI’s for Data, Voice, Printers, Wireless APs, and Management VLAN for each floor. Implemented Dual redundant paths to the DC/DR from the corporate office. Migrated the corporate network off VLAN 1 at both DC/DR and move the core switch from a Single C4510 switch to a VSS environment using C6500 Series switches. Implemented end of rack switches using C4900M series switches at both datacenters. Corrected existing QoS in the network to support the new network design for end users and hosts. Configured and activated over twenty-five (25) new remote sites network devices connecting back to the Datacenter. Daily monitoring of the network and trouble resolutions. Re-designed Tervita’s core network using Cisco Adaptive Security appliance 5520 (ASA 5520) at both Datacenters. Created DMZ, Inside & Outside network zones and migrated all corporate servers and resources into the right zones with complete architectural redundancy. All the security functionalities were previously done on a Cisco 3800 Series router. Incorporated an Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) in the firewalls to provide additional level of traffic filtering.
